The problem

Motion that actually ships.

If you've ever worked in UX or product design, you know the pain: you craft beautiful motion in After Effects, but what ships is a rough approximation.

Muxe fixes the handoff.

Your motion becomes a file a developer can commit, not a guess they have to recreate.

  • Videos get re-implemented by eye.
  • Specs lose nuance.
  • Lottie adds a heavy runtime.
  • Every handoff becomes a negotiation.

Animation tab

Animate with structure and consistency.

No more hand keyframing, no more guesswork. It's still After Effects — just optimized for product motion.

01

Apply your exact motion language using precise values, durations and easing curves — without digging through the timeline.

02

Use commonly applied UI motion values instantly, straight from the panel.

03

Import your team's motion tokens so the design system stays consistent inside AE.

04

Save custom presets for different projects or design systems.

Recipes tab

Turn any animation into a reusable preset.

Capture the full behavior — transforms, timing, easing, offsets — and apply it instantly to other layers for fast, consistent UI motion.

Save, load and export your recipes to share with teammates or other Muxe users, so your motion language stays unified across projects.

Modules tab

Tools that remove the busywork.

Your toolbox for staying focused on animating while Muxe handles the repetitive, structural and import-heavy tasks.

Composition tools

Crop Precomp

Trim a precomp to its content boundaries for cleaner, tighter comps.

Un Precomp

Pull layers out of selected precomps without losing structure.

Resize Comp

Change comp dimensions while preserving aspect ratio and layout integrity.

Animation tools

Preset Markers

Add animation states using markers. Start quickly with animated icon presets that make interactive states effortless.

Apply Keyframes

Copy all keyframes from one comp and apply them to another with the same layer structure.

Swap Color

Scan your comp for color values and replace them in bulk. Save and reuse sets — perfect for light and dark mode variants.

Stagger Layers

Offset selected layers in time to create clean, sequential animations.

Import tools

Figma Import

Bring Figma designs directly into After Effects with layers intact.

Animated SVG

Import animated SVGs with preserved layers and keyframes.

Lottie

Rebuild Lottie JSON files as AE comps, preview them, and export new Lottie files.

Paste Clipboard

Drop clipboard images straight into AE without saving files.

MCP Bridge

Connect your AI tools to After Effects for AI-driven workflows like versioning, automation and rapid iteration.

Export tab

Your motion, delivered as code.

Export is where Muxe becomes your Motion UXE. Turn your animations into production-ready assets in the formats teams actually use — no rebuilds, no guesswork, no waiting on engineering to reinterpret your timing or easing.

These are standard web formats that drop straight into real products, without relying on any third-party animation frameworks. Your motion ships exactly as you designed it, immediately.

SVG

Scales from its viewBox, animates from an <img>, reviewable in a pull request, no runtime required.

HTML

A self-contained preview that opens in any browser — perfect for sharing motion with stakeholders.

REACT

A component ready for engineering builds, with backgrounds handled correctly.

LOTTIE / JSON / XML

For pipelines that already rely on Lottie or structured animation data.

Every export supports

Interactive states

Hover and click states come out of both HTML and SVG, driven by markers you place in the comp.

Coverage

We publish what we drop.

Every After Effects feature, feature by feature, in both formats — including the ones that don't survive an export. You'll know before you ship, not after.

Where the two formats genuinely differ

Both come out of one converter — geometry and keyframes are generated once and reused byte for byte. Only the wrapper differs.

Who it's for

Built for teams who ship motion.

Not for film, broadcast or video deliverables — Muxe is for motion that becomes interface.

  • UX and product motion designers
  • Design systems teams
  • Icon and micro-interaction work
  • Agencies delivering motion into client codebases

Why Muxe exists

After years of building motion for real products, we kept hitting the same wall: there was no reliable path from After Effects to production code. So we built one.

Muxe started with a simple idea: use the tool designers already know — After Effects — and give it the workflow, structure and exports that modern product teams need. No new animation software. No proprietary runtimes. No plugin lock-in.

Just better motion, better consistency, and a handoff developers actually want.
